Travel Logs

After a lot of lazy postponement I decided to blog my travels, not because I felt the need to upload the pics but to kill my boredom. The recent pox I had kept me indoors for almost 15 days and TV,internet, books couldn't stop the boredom.

I found this quote very interesting and it did coincide and surprisingly fit with my blisters thanks to the pox

"Boredom is like a pitiless zooming in on the epidermis of time. Every instant is dilated and magnified like the pores of the face."

Ok let me not bore you...here it goes its a collection of fotos which starts from my visit to Saudi Arabia,Dubai,London and Ireland.

Burj Al Arab

Burj Al Arab is the world's second tallest hotel. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island on the Jumeira Beach. It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel. Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast", while the space between them is enclosed in a massive atrium.Tiger woods famouly played golf on helipad of burj al arab

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa also known as Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration, is a skyscraper in Dubai and the tallest man-made structure ever built in the world.I took this photo one year priot to its inaguration or to precise when it was called Burj Dubai. One has to feel sorry for the thousands of Asian labourers who shed their blood and sweat to build this. They were underpaid and at times never paid.According to a BBC investigation and a Human Rights Watch report, the workers were housed in abysmal conditions, their pay was often withheld, their passports were confiscated by their employers, and they were working in hazardous conditions that resulted in an apparently high number of deaths and injuries on site.

Atlantis, The Palm

Atlantis, the Palm is a resort at Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The resort consists of two towers linked by a bridge. The seven stars resort also includes a water Aquaventure theme park,Dolphin Bay and the highlight being a 1 million lite aquarium housing a female whaleshark.
